Adam's Platform
Let’s make life more affordable.
Let’s make our communities safer.
Let’s make local government work for the people again.
Read more about my key priorities and where I stand on the issues:
Prioritize Public Safety and Infrastructure
Protect Our Infrastructure
- We must protect critical infrastructure like fire stations, sheriff substations, and paramedic coverage.
- But safety isn’t just about buildings; it’s about people. If nurses, doctors, and first responders can’t afford to live here, they can’t serve here.
Prepare for Emergencies
- We need real investment in fire prevention, flood response, and basic infrastructure so our neighborhoods stay resilient.
House Our Essential Workers
- Teachers, deputies, paramedics, and nurses are being priced out.
- I’ll support housing policies that ensure our essential workforce can live in the communities they serve.
Maintain Our Roads, Bridges, and Infrastructure
- Return our roads, bridges and infrastructure as a stated county priority.
Promote Affordability for Working Families
Keep Local Talent and Jobs Here
- We can’t afford to train people here just to see them leave, or to push away businesses we’ve helped incubate.
Build Housing Families Can Afford
- I support responsible housing developments that include workforce housing and pathways to homeownership.
Streamline Permits. Cut Red Tape
- It shouldn’t take over a year to approve a 2,300-square-foot home.
- I’ll champion faster, fairer permitting for homeowners, builders, and small businesses, starting with reforming the planning and building department.
Create Opportunities for the Next Generation
- I helped lead the creation of the Career Technical Education (CTE) aviation pathway , only the second program of its kind in California. Working directly with the Lucia Mar Unified School District and the San Luis Obispo County Department of Airports, we built a high school curriculum that is aviation-centric and prepares students for real careers in a growing industry.
- This same model can be expanded into other fields like healthcare, technology, and clean energy, giving more students real pathways to local, high-paying careers.
Make County Government Work
Fix the Roads. Repair the Bridges. Do the Basics.
- Many of our roads and bridges are being neglected.
- We need to get back to doing the basics well, beginning with core infrastructure.
Make County Processes Clear and Predictable
- It shouldn’t be easier to build a battery plant than to remodel your home or open a café.
- The process to improve your property or start a business should be fast, predictable, and fair.
Make Responsible Decisions That Respect You, The Taxpayer
Hold the Line: Let's Get Back to Fiscal Responsibility
- I’ll demand accountability for how your tax dollars are spent.
- Strongly support ALL taxpayer protections provided for in Proposition 13
- Correct priorities. Straightforward budgets. Services you can trust.
Put Unused County Assets Back to Work
- The La Grande Tract in Oceano is a perfect example of government waste.
- It’s county-owned land that has been sitting idle for years, providing no housing, revenue, or public benefit.
- Meanwhile, our residents face deteriorating infrastructure, a housing shortage and skyrocketing rents.
- As Supervisor, I’ll call for an audit and review of all surplus county properties. If land is not serving the public, it should be reactivated or released for the public good:
- Sell or lease idle land like La Grande to generate revenue
- Repurpose underused buildings for public needs
- Use proceeds to fix roads, fund emergency services, or create local housing
Mental Health Services
- Explore regional partnerships with neighboring counties to increase mental health care capacity.
Restore Trust and Transparency
- On energy projects, land use, and everything else, the public deserves honesty, notice, and a real seat at the table.
- I’ll make sure county government works in daylight and not behind closed doors.
